About this site and why on Kira's green Earth does it take ten times to reconstruct the site Yeah...so YMIMPS stands for "Your Mother in my Pants Studios"...yeah. OK back when I started my site in 2006 with my crappy art (emphasis here), I was asking a bunch of people what I should call it. No real answers. Then I remembered Real Faker, our friend Alex, and I used to say "Your mother" and "In my pants" a lot. Hence YMIMPS was born. Looking back, I probably should've called it "Studio Lobster Stuffed in Tacos" (Simpsons reference for ya) I'm a really indecisive person so I wanted to a serious surreal style funny romantic slice of life parody to end all parodies WTFiction kind of comic that encompasses any art style I want. That being said, what I just typed right now makes no sense whatsoever. And since I didn't want to start two-three different series, I decided to throw all the characters from my ideas into one less than cohesive idea. Thus the Hardest Button to Button was born. And this is my third attempt at this idea Basic themes "Do you believe that meeting someone can change your life?" A mostly recurring theme either stated or implied and something cliched yet I kind of hold true because if I didn't meet certain people in life, I probably wouldn't be even drawing comics that are this weird...or comics in general. Self-Acceptance and Alienation A lot of the characters have inferiority complexes or have a problem with what or who they are. Some accept it, others loathe it. Zanes, Zaku, and Yuto are all considered "the genius" character. They all graduated from MIT or Tokyo U at some young age like 13 or 16. Zanes is the owner of a ramen shop/costume designer and wonders why the hell he even went to a top school if this was what he wanted to do. Zaku is wondering where his life went wrong after he graduated from MIT. Yuto loathes who he is as a person since he's too geeky or nerdy to be in a relationship or even talk to his family since they outcast him (like society) due to his intelligence. Cruzle is self conscious because of her busty appearance and girls tease her and boys think she's easy. |
